We all know that sales professionals are usually not huge fans of CRM.
They are perceived as being complex, requiring loads of hours of data entry, adding work not value etc.
As I have operated literally hundreds of sales teams myself and had to coerce, cajole or simply force them to use various CRMs there are a few simple, low cost or free changes you can make for your team to make their lives a little simpler.
The first is this – your sales team does not want to wade through loads of information, screens, lists, pages etc etc to find the information that THEY need on THEIR Customers.
The good news is there is usually a really quick fix to help with this.
Almost all of the usual CRM players, salesforce.com, Hubspot, Oracle, Netsuite and the rest allow you to select just what a certain type of team member sees when they look at a Customer page.
You can edit this or have someone edit it for you so that your sales team only has to see what they need and nothing else.
The bad news is most companies have never really done this for the sales team or if they did when the CRM was set up it now needs updating.
So how to do it?
Your business will have someone internally who is the CRM administrator.
It will, and I do not kid you in this, take them maybe 5 minutes to open up the Account or Lead or Customer screen for editing, select the ‘type of profile or user that your sales team are and then hide the various sections, fields, screens or more that your sales team do not need to see each time they use their CRM. Even simpler we will do it for you for free.
Send me a note and I will have one of my team do it for you – on a session where they share screens with you or your CRM administrator and do it together.
No charge .. no kidding. It is that simple.
When your sales team is confronted with only relevant information on each page of their CRM they will be more efficient, they will be happier and far more productive.
I promise.
Reach out now by email if you want our help – at least hit your CRM admin up and ask them to do this for you.
Let me know how it goes!
