Do not hire any sales staff unless the individual that you select will raise the average quality of your sales team.
Do not “settle”.
Do not take on someone just because they have extensive experience in your industry. Only hire a sales team member that when they join you they will drive your average performance upwards. Why?
Aside from the obvious, when you bring on board hungry sales staff, eager to show you what they can do, they will force all of your team to lift at the same time! Competition in a sales team is not just desirable – it Is critical to you success.
Look for Passion. Real Experience can be great but only if it arrives with passion included (it usually wont!)
